5 cyber habits that protect you

One click… can open the door. As the NCA launches the sixth National Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign, here are five simple habits that protect you and your organisation.

The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has launched the sixth edition of its National Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign. Believing in our role in spreading awareness, we at Business Quality share five cyber habits that protect you.

Five habits for every user

  1. Check before you click. Scan links, files and QR codes for free with NCA's Tahqaq service, via WhatsApp on +966118136644 or on the service website.
  2. Turn on two-factor authentication for email, banking and social accounts. A password alone is no longer enough.
  3. Use a strong, different password for every account, with a password manager.
  4. Update your systems and apps promptly.
  5. Back up your important data regularly to a separate location.

For organisations

Make awareness month a start, not an end. Run regular phishing simulations and measure the reporting rate, not just the click rate.

Awareness is the first line of defence. Share it with the people you care about.
